Description

These Baked Pears with Feta, Honey & Cranberries are a perfect combination of savory, sweet, and tangy. Roasted until golden and tender, they’re an elegant appetizer or light dessert that’s as impressive to serve as it is simple to make. Perfect for holidays or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

2 ripe pears

1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

1/3 cup fresh cranberries

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish.

2. Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the core with a melon baller or spoon. Trim the underside slightly so each half sits flat.

3. Place pears cut-side up in the baking dish.

4. Fill the hollow centers with cranberries and feta cheese.

5. Drizzle honey over each pear and sprinkle with thyme.

6. Optionally brush the cut sides of pears with olive oil or melted butter.

7. Roast for 25–30 minutes until pears are fork-tender and starting to caramelize.

8. Serve warm, optionally garnished with more honey and thyme.

Notes

Use firm but ripe pears like Bosc or Anjou for the best roasting texture.

Goat cheese can be used in place of feta for a tangier variation.

If pears are browning too fast, loosely cover them with foil while baking.
